Sustainable is a big word. We can only share what being “sustainable” means to us. Traditionally sneakers have been made from leather, plastic or rubber. There are no hard and fast definitions on exactly what makes any sneaker sustainable, green or eco-friendly, but we focus on using recycled materials, like recycled ocean plastic, Bio leather, our alternative to animal leather made from a blend of corn waste and recycled textiles and other renewable materials, like bamboo, cotton and cork (which can be manufactured or generated quickly enough to keep pace with how fast they are used up). We aren’t perfect but are doing the best we can 🙏.
